Will You Weather Your Wheater Whatever The Wheater?

I love this tongue twister rhyme:
"Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not
Whether the weather be coldOr whether the weather be hot
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not."

Try it. It's amusing. LOL.

Tracey from Clever Monkey Graphics together with Valorie Wibbens created a collab kit named "How's The Weather". Here's the preview:

And I knew that I have a photo that goes well will the kit. This is baby#3 checking the rain when he went to playground and it started to rain just as we came.

Don't forget to try the rhyme.

Thank you, God bless.

Photoless Layout

A digiscrap layout without any photos attached? Yes, it is possible.

The first time I got this kit called Put A Bird On It by Clever Monkey Graphics (Tracey Monette), and when I found there were birdies lining on a string, I was thinking about a photoless page. A page about uniqueness, about the celebration of uniqueness.

So I made this one out from the kit, a photoless page with a great quote (the wordart is also made by Tracey):

So, why don't try make yourself a photoless page and have fun with it.

Those Lovely Moments

Having multiple kids can be challenging and yes, it's not a job I will apply if they are not my own kids.

But, if you ever saw their purest smiles or their twinkling eyes, I should say that they know it all how to melt their mom's heart.

So, back to 2008, when the first time J got a sibling, a chubby baby sister, there was also the first time for me to have more than one child. I was worry if I could share my solely love to another child. All my worries were swept away, when this little girl came. She was too cute and too loveable.
Her brother J loved her more than anything. J loved to take her pictures with his little pocket camera.

Tracey made a perfect kit for these pictures I took when they were getting along with each other. How lovely and how beautiful.

This is Tracey's kit I mentioned above, Just One More Picture:

You can purchase it here.

This page layout also picked when Tracey was featured in The Daily Digi.

C is also her Dad's sweetheart, or I can say his soft spot. It's true that a girl is made from too many sweet things, yet it's not true that they're always be sweet, tho. :p
Here's C went swimming with daddy, two years apart from those pics above.
I used Tracey & Elise collab's kit named Waterpark Wonderland.

Yes, maybe there will not be any rewards for me these days to be a stay at home mother and the parent that doesn't make income for their family. It's my choice and I gotta live with it. These moments I will remember when they left one day: their sweet smiles, their shining eye, their cute babbling, their small hands, their pure love to me.

Kimi and His Rabbit

Ah, little children and their pets.
There is a special connection between them.

I can tell how much my baby Kimi loves his rabbit by watching the way he treat him/her (we still don't know if the rabbit is male or female).

Pic above tells the story of first day this little bunny came to our house. We got it from a good friend of mine, Ratna (and her dear kids), who were willingly to give it to us to keep. One day, this little furry thing hopped in out of nowhere, sneaked into their house and became uninvited guest pet. Seemed that it lost its way home. They waited for a few days, presumed that this bunny could be someone's lost pet. But nobody showed up to make a claim on this cutie animal. Now that their front yard is all concrete, they thought this bunny would be better in a house with garden just like ours (it is a small garden actually). I thought it would be a great pet for my kids. So, we welcomed it to our house.

Kimi was still a crawling baby. Look how small the bunny was. He has loved it from the first time they met. Very sweet.

What so cute about it is, Kimi was born on a Chinese New Year 2011 which was year of rabbit. Now, I call it coincidence,  since I'm not a follower of Chinese tradition or its belief system. It's just a knowledge and I think it's still a cute thing to know tho.

Kimi takes the responsibility to feed his pet voluntary. Whenever I have spare veggies and handed it to him, "Go feed your bunny/rabbit.." he will walk away from me in a rush heading to our front yard, where this rabbit is (we named it Peston -- short for Peter Washington), calling its name, "Pitcchiii... pitchii." I guessed Pitchi is his baby version of  'kelinci', Indonesian word for rabbit.

This bunny now turned into a big and fat rabbit. And Kimi now is a busy playful toddler. Still, he loves it with all his heart. Can you see it?

I made a page based on my feeling about them. The two of them are cute. Aren't they? Of course they are!!! ;)

Splattered, Stamped and Painted

Sometimes you are feeling artsy...
And you make some artistic messy...

Tracey made this 'crazy' template and I was too tempted to try it. Even though I had promised not to try any scrapping this week, for we are going to my parents' house in Bangka next week and I need to prepare tons of things.

But, this template was to tempting.

Template: Art Splattered Template by Tracey Monette
Elements: Soho Boy, Standing in Sunlight, Eye See You.

You can see... this page has a loooot of elements, here and there, scattered all around. But to me, it has artistic look. I love the feel of it.

Thank you Tracey for letting me play with this template.

Ah, you can grab this template in her store.

Like Dad

This page is scrapped for the father of my children.
Love you, Babe. You are a WONDERful dad to our kids. Thank you for being so lovingly and so patience with them (and me).

Again, I used kit from Tracey Monette. The link of the item is here.
This kit is best for scrapping about man for its earth colors tone, masculine feels, and not so girly elements ;)

Here's the preview:
Have a nice day.

Dinomania

Chloe was a huge fan of the purple dino Barney when she was 2-3 years old.

She had to sleep with her singing Barney every night. She used to call him: Anniee... Annieee... :p This Annie is a gift from her aunt (my sister) Meike. This Barney will sing to you when you press his left paw.

I love you, you love me... :p

For this page, I used kit Dinomania and alpha Wood no.1 by Tracey Monette.
Calling all dino lovers or parents of them, you can buy this totally cute kit from her store at ScrapMatters. There's 20% off for her new store opening.

Dufan Trip

Papa had a gathering with his fellow office mates in Dunia Fantasi, the largest amusement park, I suppose, in Jakarta.

So, Mama and her krucils, were taken along so we could play around.

Joel and baby Chloe were soooo excited. Joel were dare enough to try roller coaster. Oh, my son is no longer a baby. :)

Trying A Totally Different Style

I joined 3 designers recently.. And then, one advertising from Marta Van Eck in DST calling for CT caught my eyes. Her designs are different, unusual, waking up my hibernating passion: toying around with the graphics.

So, I applied. She answered. She let me be her CT.

I love cute designs, it's the best and friendly stuffs for scrapbooking about kids, family, etc, but I also adore those imaginative surrealism feels which I always encounter when I'm indulging myself browsing those creative person's work through deviantart.com

So, these are my layout using Great Expedition kit. Use your imagination when seeing this, please. ;)

Upper picture: baby C, our baby-in-the bucket.. She loved to be put and play inside a big red bucket which now being MIA.
Bottom: Baby J, my little adventurer. ;)

Cool canvases, unusual elements, can be found here:
 thanks for reading,

Also I tried to make another one from this kit.

CT for an Indonesian Designer

I read her advertising in Digishoptalk, calling for CT member. I emailed her, applying for the position (at that time I fired about 5 applications, LOL -- 3 of them accepted me to join them).

Later I found that she is an Indonesian who lives with her family in Sweden. Wow. Nice to know that. Her name is Edeline Marta and I think she is so talented. Her designs meets my style, I love simplicity and cuteness when scrapping about my kids.

It's nice to communicate with your designer in your own language, and so I hope there will no language barrier between us.

She let me play with her cute Jungle Tales kit.

and this is my page out of that kit:
Thank you, Edhish! Great work. And because of you, I'm so proud being Indonesian digiscrapper. ;)

I am a Gem!

Just realized that I was picked as one of weekly Scrapbook Challenge's Gem in May . So, now I have the privilege to wear the badge. :) And suddenly I feel the urge to show it off!!! :) Ah, the narcissistic side of me needs to be fed with care. :p LOL!

It was my lemony page that they picked to be one of the gems. A page of my baby trying to catch a beetle bug, using Lemon kit from eqrAveziur. It's kinda surprise for me, I don't think it's a cool LO, but I guess the picture that won their heart.
This one:

Kehamilan dan Mata Perih

Saya tidak terlalu suka pakai kacamata. Mengganggu rasanya, apalagi jika dipakai saat sedang membaca tiduran.. ;)

Fantasizing my scrap

Fantasy is never my style (but never say never!). For a very personal reason, I think fantasy digiscrapping is not really scrapbooking. To me it is more like a photostudio work than a work of digiscrapping.

But, I wanted to try. I thrived to try this new genre.
Armed with a cute Roses kit from Eva, I poured out all my digital sense into this LO. Not the best, you can see there are some amateur works ironically from someone who once called herself self-taught graphic designer. ;) I really need to practice more to sharpen my graphic knife to cut things perfectly. ;)

Told ya. This LO still to me doesn't seemed like a digital scrapbook at all. But, I kinda like it. I love the cuteness of it, the fresh greenish nuance of it. May be I will try to make another fantasy LO some other day. It's fun.

I also made another 'regular' LO out of this kit:

This kit is available here and here.

Scrapbook Challenges January Bloghop

My first blog hop ever.
Even better, this hop is called Seasons of Change. :) Yup, this is also a season of change for me, as I challenge myself to broaden my knowledge and to improve my skills in every thing I love, e.g: cooking, digiscrapping, photo editing, etc. And, I really thankful for the chance I got as I join Scrapbook Challenges' Design Team for the first term in 2012. Yay!

My name is Devi, this is my first term with Scrapbook Challenges. I live in Indonesia with hubby and three wonderful children, 7yo, 3yo and 11mo.

Now, onto the sketch. Brynn has created a one page sketch to work with:

And here's my layout using this sketch:

This little girl, Flicka, is my friend Isma's firstborn daughter. She amazed everyone when she without any fear threw herself into all the outdoor activities with our homeschool community. We could see how this 4 yo little girl loved and enjoyed it.

Channel also provided double-page version, if you are interested.

Now, onto the prizes. A challenge without prizes it's not THAT FUN, right? ;) *grin*

There are three prizes, each for one person. Here they are:
1. Hop On Prize: for one person completing a layout based on the Blog Hop Sketch and posting to the Hop On Thread:

2. Comment on all DT blogs.

3. New Member Prize (One random new members who joins between 1/13 & 1/15)

Your next stop on the hop is with Jowilna! And, Bev is the person before me.
If you're get lost along the way, you can find the beginning of the line at SC blog. Enjoy!
